Sometimes things just have a way of working themselves out, if you let them...and we did! All of us grown-ups watched in awe as Remy quietly sat down next to Jude, in the middle of his upset, and simply listened to his rant. Of course, we were clueless as to his explanation, but Remy understood every last word. (Or so, she acted like she did.) All I can tell you is 'it worked,' and after a cute exchange of funny faces, they were back at play.
Magical moments,
Bubbie and Jude

Say "Yes" To Play
Discovering what your hands can do can be pretty funny, especially when you blow raspberries into your palms and feel the tickle! Jude came up with this new game in the middle of "Open Shut Them !" We were on "creep them, creep them, creep them, creep them, right up to your chin," when all of a sudden Jude thought I needed some comic relief. He was so right! Oh, and if you're tempted to try this yourself, the wetter the better! (Just a little coaching tip from a toddler who knows!)
:O)

Shadow Puppets and Activities for Kids
"Find a shadow. Pick it up! All day long you'll have good luck!"
Hmm...I don't think so! Although Jude did give it his best shot. Funny thing about those shadows ,they just don't seem to stay still long enough to let you get a good hold on them! A lot like a kid! But when this kid gets a bit older, I'll bring out some sidewalk chalk, and we'll have some fun tracing each others shadows , as we strike a pose. Can't wait!
Fun in the sun,
Bubbie and Jude
P.S. Please share some of your sunny day explorations with your grandchildren!

Great "Grand" Parents
Great "grand" pop Harry was born in 1917, which pushed him to his 93rd birthday celebration in June. Although there are 92 years between him and his great grandson, they share much in common. They both work on their walking daily, find soft foods easiest to chew, and they're terrific at making each other laugh!
Since I get to help my grandson and my dad out weekly, I'm always entertained by these two hams. Jude will crack me up with his actions, while my dad has at times, a very dark sense of humor. Like when he asked me recently if I wanted to know how he keeps his caregivers on their toes. Without thinking I said, "yes!" His punch line was to take 2 fast, deep breaths, then drop his head on his shoulder with his eyes closed, as if he croaked...Okay, so I do admit I laughed along with him, off my chair, but don't ya' think this man needs a hobby?
Holding on to my sense of humor for dear life,
Bubbie
P.S. Would love to hear one of your classic, funny stories about your munchkins, or parents!
