Kids Helping Kids

Jude enjoyed being helped, as much as his friend enjoyed helping! The grown-ups all applauded and whooped it up, which caused the children to look for more ways to help one another. Modeling and encouraging kindness certainly pays off for everyone!
Respectfully yours,
Bubbie and Jude
P.S. What methods have you used to teach your grandkids and/or kids kindness and caring?

  1. I'm one of those Pollyannas who believes that children are naturally kind-hearted. The role of adults is, as you say, to applaud their efforts. Of course, the impulse to be mean does kick in at some point, usually in response to the social pressures of the upper grades. Then our job becomes a bit more complicated.
